Payout structure
€10 from each participants contribution to the Prize pool will be withheld and presented to the winner of the terminator ranking prize. The reminding prize pool will be distributed as per standard distribution model.
National ranking system
The national score is given by adding all the individual scores together. In the event that there would be more players representing one nation than the other, the tournament is balanced in such way that the casino is not counting the ranking points and terminator chips for the first X amount of busted players of the nation with more players attending.
Example; The tournament starts with 65 Swedes and 62 Finns. Since the difference X here is three, the tournament director will instruct and ensure that the terminator chips from the 3 Swedes that busts first will be taken out of the game. Also, these three individual Swedes ranking points will not be contributing to the national score of the event.
Individual ranking system
Positional rank system - the score for each individual is based on multiplying the factors (A), (B) & (C).
| (A) | No. of players | Factor |
| 2 - 50 | 0.5 | |
| 51-100 | 0.75 | |
| 101-150 | 1 | |
| 151-200 | 1.25 | |
| (B) | Buy-in, € | Factor |
| 350 | 1 | |
| 550 | 1.25 | |
| 750 | 1.5 | |
| (C) | Position | Points |
| 1st | 80 | |
| 2nd | 70 | |
| 3rd | 65 | |
| 4th to 5th | 60 | |
| 6th to 8th | 55 | |
| 9th to 12th | 50 | |
| 13th to 17th | 45 | |
| 18th to 23rd | 40 | |
| 24th to 30th | 35 | |
| 31st to 40th | 30 | |
| 41st to 50th | 25 | |
| 51st to 70th | 20 | |
| 71st to 100th | 15 | |
| 101st to 130th | 10 | |
| 131st to 170th | 5 |
Example: 130 participants, buy-in €350, final position 4th (A)=1, (B)=1, (C)=60 -> total points 1*1*60 = 60 points
Terminator ranking system
Players in the tournament will also receive 20 points for every person they eliminate that are not representing the same country as themselves and they will lose 10 points for every countryman they eliminate. This adds a lot to the national competition between Sweden and Finland!
Example: A player representing Sweden busts 3 Finns and 1 Swede. The terminator points for the player would then be: (3*20) + (1*-10) = 50 Terminator points.
Total ranking
All points (Individual + Terminator) will be added together in order to decide the total ranking winner and hence the actual Champion of Pokerfinnkampen 2012.
